The Wands From My Wizard Video

I made the wands a few months ago back when I had first received the request to do this kind of video.  I made the thicker wands (the elemental ones) out of construction paper.

First, I rolled them in cones.  Next, I glued the cones shut with Elmer's glue.  I then stuffed the cones as tightly as I could with newspaper, and sealed them with hot glue plugs.

I painted the cones the desired color, and let them dry.  I then took the hot glue again, and made designs on them.  After the glue had set, I used nail polish to paint the glue streaks.  After the nail polish had dried, I applied Mod Podge to the whole length.  On the blue "wand," I wrapped cray paper around and then Mod Podged the hell out of it until it was completely saturated.  That one took the longest to dry.

I adorned them with glass gems (you can get at any craft shop).

The "Extravagant Feather Line" wands were made out of standard wooden chopsticks.  I painted them, and then hot glued glass gems up 2/3 of the way.

The "Division 5" wands were also wooden chopsticks.

I painted them, and let them dry.  I then took the hot glue gun and made the desired designs.  When the glue is still warm, you can squish it in your hands and give it that melty molded look.

Or you can do the glue in layers and create depth.  After the glue dried, I painted it with nail polish.

IMHO, the chopstick wands were much easier to make and appeared more "wand like."

Thank You

I want to give a tremendous amount of thanks to everyone.  I hit a subscriber milestone, and I am so elated and grateful.  Thank you to everyone who has stuck with me since the beginning, and thank you to all the new friends who have joined along the way.  Also, a huge thank you to the content creators that have been SO supportive.  I do appreciate you, and I never forget your videos that help me sleep, or your words that have helped me continue.  <3

It's Been 4 Months...

Since I started my channel.  I am constantly feeling a sense of awe and gratitude for this experience.  I have found something I love to do, something that helps people, and something that has allowed me to make some beautiful friendships...one in particular that I think has had a positive and irrevocable effect on who I am, and who I would like to be.  How do you measure the worth of that?

I do not know if people realize how amazing many of the ASMRtists are---not just for being able to help people sleep, but in their characters as well.  There are some BRILLIANT, empathetic, hilarious, and creative people making videos.  It's pretty amazing.

In 4 months I have grown immensely...and I was at a point where I didn't think I required any more personal growth.  Being alone with yourself in this process, finding things from your past, allowing people to know you, all take a toll---and thankfully this toll is something I have no problem giving up.  I thought I was content with my daily routine---and I was---but I found that I could be happier...and that's a blessing.

Thank you so much for allowing me this opportunity to experience new discoveries, with so much joy and peace.  Thank you for supporting me through this short amount of time, that will have a lifelong effect on who I am.  I hope that it has been beneficial for you as well...I don't think I can repay everyone for this gift---but I am going to try like hell to.  :P   <3

I Just Want to Talk

In 9 days, I will have been making ASMR videos for 4 months.  I started my channel on my birthday, complying with a sudden urge to create something that would help people.  ASMR has changed my life.  My brain is constantly sorting or revisiting memories, or meticulously attending to matters of the present.  Sleep has never been easily attainable for me.  Finding ASMR videos was a gift.  My brain no longer had a choice--- the sounds and voices were like a quieting hand---when placed, all the strategizing, concerns, stresses, and distractions were sweetly halted.

There's a correlation between good nights and good days.  While ASMR is used to achieve relaxation and rest, it's also used to enhance our everyday activities.  Waking up feeling like you can take on the day (as opposed to "getting through a night") is something I covet.  I can't express my gratitude enough for all those who put their energy, time, and money, into making videos for the purpose of closing the viewers' eyes.  Think about what they're doing...putting in all that effort, planning, amassing props, editing---all with the sole purpose of making the viewer turn away from them and sleep.  It's an incredibly kind endeavor: and it's one that has made my nights quiet, and my days bright.

I want to say thank you to every single content creator---regardless if I have ever been triggered by your work, regardless if I have even seen it.  I know what you put into this work, and I know that at times it can be frustrating and disheartening.  I know that the messages you get can be ugly.  I know that the internet has a malicious and entitled vein that can reach out and touch you from time to time.  I thank you for your generosity, resilience, patience, and kindness.  You are helping people in a way that sometimes no substance or council can achieve.  Your work is valued, you are valued, and you are wonderful.

I am aware of how "sappy" this entry must sound...and that's okay.  Sometimes people need to hear what they mean to you.  You mean a great deal to me...I just thought you should know.  <3
